Maavarim believes that Mine Risk Education is an excellent, cost-effective
method of preventing harm to people by providing them with
the tools to cope with the hazard of landmines. Landmine clearance
is slow and expensive. In contrast, Mine Risk Education is cheap
and can be implemented quickly. It can also take place anywhere
- in Albania, we were teaching Mine Risk Education on trains carrying
returning Kosovar refugees. More than anything, the success
of Mine Risk Education depends on the quality of the personnel
- Maavarim's finest asset. Additionally we work with commercial
companies, preparing staff transferring overseas to areas
with a mine threat in order to prevent injury. Maavarim can
prepare a suitable program for any audience be they refugees
or hi-tech executives, children, adults or mixed. We are ready
to deploy at a moment's notice.
