Maavarim is the only company in Israel that trains and operates Explosive Detection Dogs. However, Maavarim trains other types of working dogs depending on the client's needs (as specified below). Today the company operates explosive and drug detection dogs in governmental and private organizations in Israel, as well as in some other places around the globe.
Maavarim trains and operates Detection Dogs to work in a wide range of areas: open fields, residential/industrial areas and searching personal luggage and vehicles of all kinds. Our personnel in the Dogs Division are highly professional due to a great deal of experience mainly acquired in the Israeli Security Organizations (Police, IDF). The head of the Dogs Division has retired from the Israeli police force after thirty years. On the police force, he performed a number of various tasks. During his last seven years in the service, he served as the chief of animal instruction school; during this period of time, he managed to develop the training methods and remained in the training field during the whole process. The other trainers and handlers have been certified in this field by the various organizations they served in, and they all know the unique training methods in detail.

We supply trained dogs at any level required, in a way that our customer owns the dogs in the end of the process. It is very important to note that we can train the dogs both with PLAY or FOOD, depends on client's request. In addition to supplying the dogs, we train personnel to use the most advanced techniques and knowledge that will enable them to maintain the dogs' capabilities over the course of time. In this option, the client owns a local self-sufficient unit in the end of the process. In addition, Maavarim can provide a full service of dog detection with Maavarim's personnel and dogs, while Maavarim takes care of all logistics. And, of course, the service is professional and genuine.

Explosive Detection dogs

The dogs are trained to detect different kinds of explosives, standard as well as homemade, according to the Israeli police criteria. However, additional kinds of explosives may be added, according to client's needs. This process which the relevant training takes a short period of time. It is important to note, that the training is being done with REAL EXPLOSIVES, and not with substitutes.
Maavarim works with various breeds for explosive detection, each breed suits different requirements needed; some of the breeds which Maavarim uses are the German Shepherd, Malinois, Labrador Retriever and Jack Russel.

Mine Detection Dogs

Maavarim trains and operates mine detection dogs for use in minefields. The training process begins like the EDD training process, but in this case the dogs are trained to sniff only down to detect the buried mines. In addition, the dogs are operated with a long leash or without any. We use the dogs in our projects, in addition to training MDDs for other organizations and companies.

Drugs Detection Dogs

These dogs are trained to search and detect drugs (solid and powder) in various shapes and places:
a. Search for drugs in open areas, upon the ground.
b. Search and detection of drugs inside buildings, such as: houses, institutes, terminals etc.
c. Search and Detection on human - beings and their belonging.
d. Search and Detection of hidden drugs inside vehicles from all types, including jets and vessels.

Search & Rescue Dogs

These dogs' expertise is in finding live human beings that were buried or being held in hiding places due to a natural disaster or any other type of disaster. The dog is an expert in finding the person trapped. The dog indicates the place in which the missing person is trapped by barking and marking the area.

Identification Dogs

These dogs are trained to identify an object, which belongs to a specific suspect at any particular crime scene. In general, the use of "identification" dogs is very common in many states, and is valid as legal evidence in trials of suspects.
Search Dogs chase after suspects who escape crime scenes or from any other place. The dogs may pick up the criminal's trail by following tracks, or by identifying the scent of an object left on the ground.

Guard and Security Dogs

These dogs specialize in guarding security facilities and even guarding businesses and private houses. In general, the dogs can be trained to work in few different ways:
a. Tied to a leash, walking along it.
b. Patrolling unleashed between two fences in a specified area.
c. Unleashed dogs positioned in specific places
