Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)

Maavarim's EOD division was erected roughly about when the company was established when the necessity for professionals to deal with UXOs and booby traps was identified. From this point forward, the division was expanded and began to work in other fields as well: expired ordnance disposal and dealing with ammunition in civilian surrounding.

The division's manager, the project managers and the working team, all served in the EOD unit in the standing army. Much experience was acquired through military experience; this experience combines with the large amount of knowledge and experience that Maavarim has attained through the various projects it has conducted over the years. Maavarim's EOD division works in accordance with safety rules and regulations that comply with the IDF's regulations and other international standards.

The division owns high sophisticated equipment, from the simplest protective equipment to the most innovated electronic tools that detect ammunition in great depths and special devices for ammunition neutralization. The equipment ensures the company's safety and positive results.

The quality of the environment is a crucial to Maavarim; therefore it is constantly evaluating, inspecting and self-monitoring its quality. For example, after EOD projects
Maavarim recycles decomposable materials such as: metal boxes, wood, paper, fleece backpacks, etc. The materials are collected in huge quantities in these projects.

Maavarim uses various techniques in order to dispose explosive ordnance, each technique suits different kind and size of ammunition. Usually the disposal involves detonating the ammunition in explosion or fire zones, however we may use special devices in order to neutralize some of it. Maavarim has the knowledge and the ability to use an incinerator for explosive disposal, as another technique, especially when conducting large scale projects.
